The first story takes us back to Eureka, California in 1896. A letter, transcribed by a young girl, tells the tale of two friends who encountered a large, man-like creature covered in dark brown hair while cutting timber. The creature walked on two legs and had arms like a man's, but much bigger and longer. The men were in awe of the creature's size and strength, and although they didn't get a clear view of its face, they were certain it wasn't a bear. The letter was found in an old dictionary and has since been lost, but the story lives on. The second story, titled "Sasquatch and the Edwards Air Force Base Surveillance," is written by Doug Tra and tells of Corey Rudolph and himself observing the desert in Palmdale in 1977. They had received several credible reports of Bigfoot sightings in the area and were determined to gather as much information as they could. One night, while camping, they witnessed a very tall, hair-covered ap-like man wandering through the desert. They observed the creature through Starlight Scopes and motion detectors, and even saw a helicopter approach the area, causing the creature to run away. The next day, the lieutenant in charge of security reported the incident to the command post and was told that these animals had been seen on the base before and were known as Bigfoot or Sasquatch. The command explained that they were concerned that these animals may be related to the alien craft that had been seen in the area, and all reports must remain top secret. The third and final story, titled "The Mysterious Shaver Lake Story," is a local legend about a man who encountered a strange creature while fishing. The creature was described as being tall and thin, with long arms and a strange, elongated head. The man was so frightened by the encounter that he never went fishing again. These stories are a fascinating addition to the world of Bigfoot research and serve as a reminder of the mysterious and elusive nature of these creatures.
