In a recent video posted on the YouTube channel Bigfoot Society, a woman named Kathleen shares her encounter with what she believes may have been a Bigfoot in the Uintas Mountains of Utah. Kathleen, a nurse, was camping with her sister in a forest ranger cabin that is no longer in operation. They had pitched a tent outside the cabin and were awakened in the middle of the night by a loud, crashing sound coming from the brush. Kathleen describes the sound as being made by something very large and on two feet.
The next morning, Kathleen heard two loud whoops outside her tent. She quickly woke her sister and asked her if she knew what bird made that sound. Her sister didn't know, and Kathleen later discovered that the sounds matched those recorded in the Sierra Sounds from California. Kathleen did not see any signs of anything being messed with around the camp, but she did notice that there were no normal noises that you would hear in the summertime, such as birds chirping.
Kathleen also shared that she had done some research online and heard the Sierra Sounds recording from California that sounded exactly like the whoops that were in that recording. She couldn't correlate the whoops with anything when she got outside in the morning, but now she believes that she may have had a Bigfoot encounter.
The Uintas Mountains are an area that has had several reported Bigfoot sightings, including two others on the BFRO website in a similar area coming up from Vernal, Utah. Kathleen said that she would like to go back to the area and explore it in a different mindset to see if she can pick up anything or see anything.
This is an interesting encounter, and it's always exciting to hear about new potential Bigfoot sightings. Kathleen's description of the loud, crashing sound and the two loud whoops is certainly consistent with what many people have reported hearing during Bigfoot encounters. It's also worth noting that the Uintas Mountains are an area that has had several reported Bigfoot sightings in the past.
