Scientist Couple's thrilling Bigfoot Encounter: Distinct Calls and Gorilla-like Grunts near Sloan Peak

Wendell and his wife had moved to Seattle in 2011 and quickly became fascinated with the idea of a relic hominid roaming the rural areas of the United States. Their first encounter with what they believe to be a Sasquatch occurred while hiking on a forest road near Granite Falls. They heard a powerful and voluminous call that lasted for 15-20 seconds, which Wendell describes as a mix between a lion's roar and a human scream. The couple was not alone in their experience, as other hikers in the area also heard the call and were alarmed by it. Since then, Wendell and his wife have had several other encounters with possible Sasquatch vocalizations while camping in the wilderness. However, their most profound experience occurred in April 2016, when they went on a camping trip to a remote area off the Mount Loop Highway in Washington state. Wendell's wife had recently been diagnosed with breast cancer and wanted to spend some time in nature to clear her mind. They set up camp in a clearing off the side of a rough forest road and were soon rewarded with a series of vocalizations that sounded like Bela Lugosi's famous "Hey" call, followed by a reply from a second Sasquatch just 100 yards away. As they stayed up all night, hoping for further interaction, they heard a burst of what Wendell describes as "Samurai speech" - a garbled vocalization that sounded like a gorilla trying to talk. While nothing further happened that night, Wendell and his wife were left with a profound sense of awe and respect for the possible Sasquatch they had encountered.
