A few days ago, I stumbled upon an intriguing video on YouTube featuring Jason Kenzie, a Bigfoot researcher and filmmaker, being interviewed on The Eye of Jupiter podcast. Jason is an animal photojournalist with 20 years of experience, and his fascination with Sasquatch began as a child growing up near Harrison Hot Springs, the epicenter of Sasquatch sightings in British Columbia.
During the interview, Jason shares his incredible journey into the world of Sasquatch research. After being stuck at home due to the pandemic, a friend jokingly suggested he look into Sasquatch as a potential subject for his next project. Intrigued, Jason decided to explore the possibility and began interviewing eyewitnesses, First Nations people, and other researchers.
His research led him to discover a migration path of the Sasquatch people from Alaska to California, which he documented in his film "Searching for Sasquatch." The film went viral on YouTube, garnering 300,000 views and attracting the attention of other researchers who invited him to speak at conferences. Jason has since produced 14 documentaries, available on Tubi, Amazon Prime, Plex, and Roku, as well as a comic book series about an elite group of Sasquatch investigators.
One particularly memorable experience Jason shared during the interview was his investigation in Michigan. While searching for evidence of Bigfoot, he and his team discovered a massive tree X in the middle of the forest, formed by two trees that had been pushed over and another one lying on top. Despite warnings from researchers, Jason decided to sleep under the tree X in a hammock tent. In the middle of the night, something approached and grunted in his ear, causing him to shake uncontrollably.
This interview with Jason Kenzie offers a fascinating glimpse into the world of Sasquatch research and the incredible experiences that come with it.
