The video begins with the channel's host sharing their group's fascination with spooky adventures, which started in high school and involved playing with Ouija boards and exploring abandoned buildings. However, their final adventure took a dark turn when they decided to go camping in a national park known for its disproportionately high number of missing persons. As they set up camp, the group encountered a park ranger who warned them about the dangers of venturing too far into the woods. Despite the warning, three members of the group, including the host's friend Mike, decided to explore the woods in search of some of the missing people. When they didn't return, the group grew worried and decided to head back to the visitor center for help. As they made their way back, they noticed that the wildlife had gone silent, a sign that a predator might be near. Suddenly, they heard a scream for help, which led them to a flickering flashlight and the lifeless body of their friend Mike. His head was slumped forward, and his shirt was covered in blood.
