A fascinating account of a series of strange and unsettling events has recently come to light, and I couldn't wait to share it with you. The story comes from the YouTube channel Wild Assault, and it's one of the most intriguing and well-known tales in contemporary Bigfoot lore.
The story takes place in rural Oklahoma, in an unincorporated community called Honobia. This area has a long history of Bigfoot sightings, dating back to the 1800s when the Choctaw, Cherokee, and Muscogee Indians were driven into this remote area during the Trail of Tears. In fact, the official establishment of Honobia was marked by the opening of a post office in 1914, and today, the majority of the community's 150 residents are Choctaw First Nation members.
The story itself takes place in the late 1990s, when two siblings, Tim and Mike Humphrey, purchased a property outside of Honobia with their spouses and children. The property was primarily made up of sheds and an old farmhouse, with the land being mostly forests and Wilderness. The siblings intended to use the property for broad deer hunting.
However, things took a turn for the strange in the fall of 1999 when a series of bizarre and violent events began to occur. It started with the disappearance of five deer carcasses that the brothers had stored in a shed on the property. Over the following weeks, over 30 chickens were stolen from their coups by an unidentified nocturnal thief.
The brothers tried to scare off the nighttime hunter by introducing light barriers on their property, but this only seemed to make things worse. They began to hear strange howls, chattering, and screams coming from the tree lines surrounding their property. The family's children claimed to have seen strange figures standing at the tree line and staring at them, and the family's dogs behaved strangely on certain parts of the property.
The situation reached a boiling point in January 2000 when large rocks and stones were hurled at the family's homes walls and roof in the middle of the night for several weeks. The family was terrified and unable to sleep. One evening, the three-year-old daughter of one of the brothers claimed to have seen a huge and monstrous gorilla staring at her through her window.
The families concluded that the property was no longer a safe place for them, and the women and children relocated to a nearby community. However, the men remained on the property, and two additional incidents occurred involving threatening behavior towards females.
The first incident occurred when the brother's sister and her two children went to the farm and were confronted by three large man-like creatures covered in hair. The second incident occurred a few weeks later when the brother's niece was also targeted at the farm's main gate.
The situation fully deteriorated when one of the brothers fired multiple shots at a creature he saw staring through a house window. The animal was hit three times and fell to the ground, but it got up again and attempted to keep running towards the timber line. Two large foot-like figures were seen carrying the shot creature into the forest.
That night, several of the eight men attacked and damaged the house, resulting in an hours-long shootout. The animals vanished into the Backwoods at daybreak.
This account is one of the most shocking and violent Bigfoot events known as the Siege of Honobia. The events that took place at the Humphrey farm in rural Oklahoma are a fascinating and well-known tale in contemporary Bigfoot lore.
