Have you ever considered adapting your crafts to themed markets to make a bigger profit? In a recent YouTube video from Duffey Woodcraft, Alex shows us how to do just that, using the theme of Sasquatch as an example.
Alex starts off by showing us some of the game boards they've made, such as Cribbage boards, which are easy to adapt to a theme market. By adding a design, such as trees and a Sasquatch in the middle, these boards can be elevated and made more appealing to customers. They also show us a Tic Tac Toe board with Sasquatch and tree pieces, which is a simple yet effective way to adapt a classic game to a themed market.
Another great example Alex gives is serving trays. By adding a Bigfoot foot shaped bull cut, these trays become a unique and functional souvenir that customers will love. They also show us how to adapt cutting boards by adding a Bigfoot image on one side, making it a great all year round product.
Signs are also an easy project to make and can have a high profit margin. Alex shows us an example of a "We are not alone" sign made from an Alder board, which costs less than $3 to make and can be sold for $20.
Alex also talks about the cost of materials and the profit made from these themed markets. Booth fees for themed markets can be higher, but the sales are also much higher as people are there to buy for the themed event. They give examples of the Sasquatch Fest and UFO Fest, where they made $1,500 and $2,300 respectively.
In this video, Alex shows us how to adapt our regular crafts to themed markets, such as Sasquatch, and make a bigger profit. By getting creative and thinking outside the box, we can make unique and functional products that customers will love. So, the next time you're considering selling your crafts at a market, think about adapting them to a theme and see how much your profit can increase.
As a Bigfoot believer and a curator of this video, I highly recommend watching it to see all the examples and tips given by Alex. It's a great resource for anyone looking to make a profit from their crafts while also appealing to the Bigfoot community.
