A fascinating account of a childhood encounter with a possible Bigfoot has been shared on the YouTube channel "Ancient Tracks: A Beast Inquiry." The guest on this episode is Mary Fabian, founder of the Pennsylvania Bigfoot Project.
Mary recounts her first sighting, which took place in 1967 when she was just 11 years old. While hiking along a gas line trail on her family's 100-acre farm in western Pennsylvania, she spotted a large, black figure emerging from the woods. At the time, Mary had never heard of Bigfoot and assumed it was a man wearing a fur coat. However, looking back, she now believes it was a Sasquatch.
The creature had neanderthal-like features, with a heavy brow and high cheekbones. It was covered in black hair, except for a beard going down its face. Mary describes the being as big and bulky, shaped like a sumo wrestler. Despite its intimidating appearance, the creature did not act aggressively towards her. It simply stopped, looked at her, and then continued on its way.
Mary's encounter is particularly interesting because she did not experience any fear at the time. She was not aware of the significance of what she had seen and did not connect it to Bigfoot until many years later.
As an adult, Mary has had further experiences with Sasquatch, including strange tree structures, rocks being thrown at her, and even a Bigfoot peeking in her windows. Her dog, a rescue who had been abused by its previous owners, would become terrified whenever a Bigfoot was near.
Mary's story is a captivating account of a childhood encounter with a possible Sasquatch. Her lack of fear and the creature's non-aggressive behavior make this an intriguing addition to the body of Bigfoot evidence.
