A few months ago, I stumbled upon a fascinating video on YouTube featuring a woman named Barb Hartman, a resident of Washington state and a long-time Bigfoot enthusiast. In the video, Barb shares her personal experiences and encounters with the elusive creature, including some eerie sounds she heard while camping in the Gifford Pinchot National Forest.
Barb has been interested in Bigfoot since she was a little girl, when her father introduced her to the subject through the documentary "The Legend of Boggy Creek" and the famous Patterson-Gimlin film. Her fascination only grew when she learned that the county she was moving to in Washington state had the most Bigfoot sightings in the United States.
In 2018, Barb's husband found some large bare footprints under their house, which they believed could possibly be from a migrating Bigfoot. Then, in 2019, while on a camping trip with her son and his wife, Barb heard some terrifying screams in the middle of the night. She described the sounds as "human but inhuman" and "like deranged people." She believes that she heard six to eight creatures calling back and forth to each other, and estimates that they were about a half a mile to a mile away.
Barb tried to research the sounds she heard, but couldn't find any animal sounds that matched what she heard. She also listened to recordings of alleged Bigfoot sounds, but didn't find anything that was identical to what she heard. Despite not being able to find a perfect match for the sounds, Barb is confident that they were not made by any known animal.
I don't know about you, but I find Barb's experiences and encounters with Bigfoot to be absolutely captivating. If you're interested in learning more, I highly recommend checking out the video for yourself. Who knows, maybe it will inspire you to start paying closer attention to the sounds of the forest the next time you're camping. You never know what you might hear!
