She can't make out what it is, but she knows it's not a person. She describes it as having long, straight brown hair and being covered in dirt. She also mentions a strange smell that she can't quite put her finger on. The final encounter takes us back in time to 1975, in Sarpe County, Nebraska. A 14-year-old boy is walking home from his girlfriend's house when he hears heavy footsteps in the trees next to him. He becomes scared and runs the rest of the way home, but the footsteps follow him. The next night, the same thing happens, only this time the footsteps are coming from a different direction. On the third night, the boy sees a large, hairy creature standing at the edge of the field, watching him. He describes it as being 7 feet tall, with dark brown hair and muscular arms that hang down to its knees. These stories, while unrelated, share a common thread of unexplained phenomena and the presence of a large, hairy creature.
