Bigfoot Encounter in 1970: A Teen's Escape to a Hidden Community

A fascinating account of a possible Sasquatch encounter has been making the rounds on YouTube, and I couldn't wait to share it with our community of Bigfoot believers. The story comes from Leslie, the owner of the Buckeye Bigfoot YouTube channel, who shares her experience of visiting a hippie commune in Clearwater, BC, in 1970. Leslie was just 15 years old at the time and living with her aunt and uncle. She describes her uncle as a cruel man who worked hard on his small farm but was not generous or kind. One day, while her aunt was sick with the stomach flu, Leslie's uncle took her and her cousins to town to run errands. It was there that Leslie met Shannon, a girl from a van full of young people who seemed to be protesting the war and promoting a commune lifestyle. Shannon invited Leslie to join them at their camp, and three days later, Leslie snuck out of her house and made her way to the commune. The camp was located deep in the woods, and Leslie describes it as well-organized and well-run. There was a log cabin, a yurt, several gardens, and three large canvas tents for the campers to sleep in. Leslie was introduced to the camp's leader, a man named Jim, who owned the land but didn't seem to want to be involved in the commune's activities. Leslie's night at the camp took a turn when she woke up in the middle of the night with severe stomach pains. She made her way to the outhouse, where she saw a large, bear-like creature running away on all fours. Leslie describes the creature as having an odd shape and moving in a strange way. The next morning, Leslie was weak and feverish, but she was forced to get out of bed and make her way to the outhouse again. It was then that she saw the creature again, this time more clearly. Leslie describes it as having long, dark hair all over its body, and its eyes were deep-set and intelligent. She was convinced that she had encountered a Sasquatch. Leslie's story is a fascinating account of a possible Sasquatch encounter, and it's one that has sparked a lot of discussion in the Bigfoot community.
