A new video has surfaced on YouTube that takes a closer look at various cryptid images, including some related to Bigfoot. The video, posted by the YouTube channel Vinesauce: The Full Sauce, features Vinny examining a collection of cryptid photos compiled by a user named Finger. One of the first images Vinny discusses is the famous Patterson-Gimlin footage from 1967, which remains one of the most debated pieces of media in the world of cryptozoology. The footage, taken in Northern California, shows an alleged Bigfoot walking through the woods. While some believe the gate is too unnatural for a human and that the costume would have been impossible to make at the time, others point to the unclear development history of the film. Despite the controversy, the footage remains iconic and easily recognizable. Vinny also looks at plaster casts created by Patterson and Gimlin after seeing the Bigfoot, which are approximately 14 inches long. These casts, along with the Patterson-Gimlin footage, have been the subject of much debate and speculation in the Bigfoot community. Another interesting image that Vinny examines is a photograph taken in 1951 during an oil survey expedition in Venezuela. The photograph, taken at over 20,000 feet above sea level, purportedly shows the footprints of a yeti. However, some have suggested that the footprints may have been created by a baby bear following in its mother's footsteps. The video also features a series of photographs taken in 2000 and sent to the police department of Sarasota, Florida. The anonymous sender claimed that the apples she put on her porch kept getting stolen overnight, so she took a camera into the woods and took these photos. The sender believed that the photos showed an escaped orangutan and asked the police to capture it so it could be returned to the zoo. However, Vinny notes that the photos look more like a demon than a monkey, and he is clearly uneasy about the images. Overall, the video provides an interesting look at a variety of cryptid images, including some related to Bigfoot. While some of the images are more easily explained than others, they all serve as a reminder of the enduring fascination that cryptozoology holds for many people.
