Witness Describes Chilling Bigfoot Encounter in Vandalia, Illinois

MONDAY REVIEW | Bigfoot and Lynn | Episode 46," a woman named Lynn recounts her terrifying experience from 1975, when she was just 14 years old. Lynn, who hails from Velia, Illinois, describes waking up early one Friday morning to find a massive, dark figure outside her bedroom window. At first, she thought it was a bear, as bears were not known to be in the area. However, as she looked closer, she realized that this was no ordinary animal. The creature, which she estimates to be around 7.5 feet tall, had shoulders that were four feet wide and arms that hung down past its knees. Its hair was only an inch long, and it had huge hands with fingers. As Lynn watched in horror, the creature gently moved the snow with its hands, as if it was zeroing in on something that had caught its interest. When the creature noticed Lynn staring at it, it slowly stood up and looked directly at her with red eyes. Lynn was so frightened that she couldn't move, and she begged her friend, who was sleeping in the same room, to come and look at the monster. However, her friend was too scared to move. The creature then picked up its right leg, as if it was getting ready to attack. Lynn, who was in a state of panic, screamed for her brother and friend to hide. They all ran to her father's bedroom and hid in the closet, listening as someone banged on the front door. Lynn's mother, who had come to pick up her friend, eventually opened the door and called out for her. Lynn's friend ran out of the closet to be with her mother, but Lynn was convinced that the creature was still outside and refused to leave the safety of the closet. This encounter has left a lasting impression on Lynn, and she still remembers every detail as if it happened yesterday.
