In this week's roundup of intriguing stories from the world of cryptids, we've got a diverse set of encounters from various locations, each one offering a unique perspective on the mysterious creatures that inhabit our planet. The stories come from the YouTube channel Ontario Cryptids, where subscribers share their own personal experiences.
Our first tale takes us to Tobermory, Ontario, where a couple had a peculiar camping experience. They encountered a raccoon with a severe injury, which they believed was either caused by a car accident or an attack by another animal. The raccoon visited their campsite every night, making a pig-like sound when breathing, which the couple found quite terrifying. Despite the raccoon's unsettling presence, it didn't bother them, but it did wreak havoc on a nearby campsite.
Moving on to Utah, we have a story from Tim Tul 3229, who recounts a family camping trip in the Entus Mountains. As they neared a turnaround point, they were hit by a strong, unpleasant odor and an overwhelming feeling that they weren't welcome. Although they had never considered the possibility of a Sasquatch before, it was the first thing that came to mind. Tim remains unsure if it was a Sasquatch, but he believes that certain areas in the Utah mountains are protected by spirits, making for a mysterious and eerie atmosphere.
Our next story comes from D Anderson, who shares an experience from Mount St. Helens in Washington state. In 2018, D Anderson was hunting near the mountain when he heard consistent, extremely loud tree knocks. As he looked down the hill, he saw something moving at about 40 mph, 200 yards away. Although initially thinking it was a crow, he now believes it could have been a Sasquatch.
Joe Spencer 2047 recounts a tale from Snowhomish County, Washington, near the Tulip area. While up in the mountains with his family, they heard a howl that sounded like an owl but had more base to it. As they listened, the call slowly got closer until it sounded like it was just down the hill, behind the tree line. Joe, a native of the TOA Bay tribe, has heard many stories about Sasquatch and has even found footprints on hikes and by rivers.
Lastly, Hector Barrero shares a story from Huntington County, Pennsylvania, in an area called Painter Rock Hill Forest. In the summer of 1977, Hector, a Boy Scout with Troop 406, went on a night hike with his group. As they hiked, they heard a loud screaming sound coming from a short wooden hill, accompanied by a bad smell. The scout master decided to turn the group around and return to their campsite, believing it could have been an injured animal or a prank.
