The Great Smoky Mountains National Park, located on the border of Tennessee and North Carolina, is known for being the most visited national park in the United States. Despite the high volume of tourists, much of the park remains remote and only accessible by foot. The unique environment of the Smoky Mountains, part of the Appalachian temperate rainforest, supports a wide variety of species, including potentially Sasquatch. Recently, a video was posted to the YouTube channel "S1 E9 • Smoky Mountain Sasquatch" showcasing a solo backpacking trip in the Smoky Mountains. The vlogger, who was in the area for the Smoky Mountain Bigfoot Conference, decided to spend a night in a less crowded section of the national park on the North Carolina side. The vlogger hiked to the top of Clingmans Dome, the highest peak in the Smokies, and then ventured to a more isolated area near a river and lakes. As they explored, they came across what appeared to be impressions in the ground, possibly from a bear or something else. As night fell, the vlogger set up camp in a backcountry spot and explored the surrounding area. They noted the lush, jungle-like feel of the Smokies and the abundance of rhododendron. The video also delved into alleged Sasquatch encounters in the area, including a sighting of a large, black creature near the Little Tennessee River and the discovery of a 12-14 inch footprint with five distinct toes. One particularly intriguing encounter described in the video took place near where the vlogger was camping. A hiker reported seeing what appeared to be a person with a leaf blower, moving quickly up a ridge and causing leaves and small trees to move. The smell of a dead animal and porta-potty accompanied the phenomenon, which disappeared as quickly as it appeared. I am always excited to come across new videos and accounts of potential Sasquatch sightings. The Smoky Mountains, with their remote areas and unique environment, seem like a prime location for Sasquatch activity. I encourage all Bigfoot believers to check out the full video on the "S1 E9 • Smoky Mountain Sasquatch" YouTube channel and share your thoughts with the community.
