After crossing the highway, the creature disappeared into the woods, and the husband quickly got back on the road. He wishes he had gotten the other driver's name and number because he would really like to talk about the encounter. In September 2000, a man had a peculiar experience near Lake Oraville. He heard a series of shrill screams echoing in the distance, occurring every few seconds. The screams sounded like a cross between a woman screaming in agonizing pain and a mountain lion. The experience has affected how he carries himself in the woods to this day. Unfortunately, he didn't make a recording of the sounds at the time. In May 1989, a woman named Diane Vaugh had a Bigfoot sighting in the mountain foothills above Pasadena, California. She heard footsteps directly overhead and saw a being around 6 ft tall, appearing to dance back and forth down a slight rise in the path. The being was completely black and covered in hair. Diane and the Bigfoot stood looking at each other for a few minutes before she realized she had to head down the ridge. She raised her arm and slowly waved at the Bigfoot in a grand gesture, and the Bigfoot turned and waved back before walking off.
