If you're a fan of the unexplained and the legends that surround us, then you'll want to check out this video from the Sasquatch and Sourdough Podcast. In this episode, hosts Christina and Crystal take us on a journey to Jerusalem Mill, a historic site in Maryland.
As they explore the area, they discuss the various legends and stories associated with covered bridges, including the one they're visiting. From Civil War soldiers to a cannibal hermit, there are plenty of tales to keep you on the edge of your seat.
One legend that particularly stands out is the story of a woman who, postpartum, threw her baby off the bridge and then hung herself. It's said that you can still hear her singing lullabies to her dead baby in the area.
But the legends don't stop there. There's also a monkey-like creature with a long tail that protects the bridge, as well as a red-eyed demon that lives underneath it. And if that's not enough, there's also the tale of an old hermit who lived under the bridge in the '70s and kidnapped and ate hikers.
The hosts do a great job of weaving together these stories and adding their own commentary, making for a fascinating and entertaining listen. They also encourage their listeners to visit the site and experience the legends for themselves.
So if you're looking for a spooky and intriguing tale, be sure to check out this video from the Sasquatch and Sourdough Podcast. And who knows, maybe you'll even encounter a legend of your own.
