Boy's First Bigfoot Encounter Ignites Lifelong Cryptid Research Passion

The guest, Danny Staton, describes his experience of seeing a “monster” in the woods when he was just 11 years old. According to Staton, he was walking through the woods in California, taking pictures of wildlife, when he heard a low guttural grunt coming from a hill above him. At first, he thought it might be a bear, but when he looked up, he saw something much more terrifying. “What I saw was terrified and beyond comprehension,” Staton said. “I was in the woods, 50 or 60 yards away from a monster. I was just lucky that I was down in a creek bed and as the hill starts up between me and where the creature was was what’s called brambles or Thorns or thickets. They these great big old long um briers with them little yellow flowers on them. I don’t know what the technical name for them is, but they will hurt you. The briars are three inches long and sharp as needles. So that was between me and it and I don’t think even as tough and big and monstrous as it is, I don’t even think it wanted to mess with the brambles.” Staton goes on to describe how he managed to take a picture of the creature before it started coming down the hill towards him.
