Bigfoot Searchers Investigate Missing Hunter's Case in Oregon

A new and intriguing case has recently come to light in the world of Bigfoot research, and the team at Pacific Northwest Bigfoot Search is determined to bring attention to this mysterious disappearance. In a recent podcast episode, the co-founder, Tennar Hoskins, shared the story of Shawn Higgins, a seasoned outdoorsman who vanished in the Bear Camp area of Oregon in 2016. Shawn, an experienced hunter, had been hunting with his son Trevor and Trevor's uncle Will in the Shasta Costa drainage when they became separated. Shawn had planned to meet Trevor at a trailhead a couple of miles from where he entered the woods, but as hours passed and Shawn did not show up, Trevor became increasingly worried. With no sign of his father, Trevor and Will decided to split up and search for Shawn. As night fell and the weather worsened, Trevor was forced to create a shelter and spend the night in the wilderness, hoping that his father and uncle were searching for him. The following day, Will contacted the Curry County Sheriff's Office to report both Shawn and Trevor missing. Search and rescue teams from multiple counties joined the effort, scouring the treacherous terrain in wet and cold conditions. Four days into the search, Trevor was found by search crews approximately 2.5 miles from where he had entered the wilderness. He was airlifted to the hospital, suffering from severe hypothermia due to exposure. Tragically, after 11 days of searching, the Curry County Sheriff's Office suspended the search for Shawn, stating that they had uncovered no trace of him and had no idea where he might be. Shawn's family and friends remain hopeful that he will be found, and Pacific Northwest Bigfoot Search is using their resources to help bring attention to this case.
