A new case has caught the attention of the Pacific Northwest Bigfoot Search team, and it's a puzzling one. A man named Jeremy Childress disappeared in the Tillamook State Forest in Oregon back in 2004, and despite extensive searches, he has never been found. The case is particularly intriguing to the team because of the mysterious circumstances surrounding Jeremy's disappearance.
Jeremy, an avid outdoorsman and industrial bridge painter and blaster, was on an elk hunting trip with his friend Shane Louie and Shane's young son when they became lost. They spent the night in their truck, and the next day, Jeremy decided to try and find his way back to camp on foot. He believed that camp was just two ridges over, and despite his friends' objections, he set off into the thick vegetation.
That was the last time anyone saw or heard from Jeremy. When Shane and his son returned to camp, Jeremy's gear was still there, but he was nowhere to be found. A search was launched, but no trace of Jeremy was ever discovered. It wasn't until 2006 that the state of Oregon finally granted a death certificate to Jeremy's wife, Kristen, giving her the ability to sell their jointly owned property and Jeremy's possessions.
The Pacific Northwest Bigfoot Search team has taken an interest in Jeremy's case because of the strange circumstances surrounding his disappearance. The team has attempted to reach out to the Tillamook County Sheriff's Office for comment, but have yet to hear back. They are hoping that by bringing attention to this case, they can provide some answers or closure to Jeremy's family.
Jeremy was last seen wearing a brown Carhart jacket, size 32x 34 Stone wash Levi blue jeans, a blue Nike baseball cap with a lighter blue swoosh, brown Copeland hiking boots, a silver Citizen watch with Eco Drive, and a gold wedding band with five diamonds in a diagonal pattern. He was also carrying his hunting rifle, wallet, car keys, half a pack of cigarettes, possibly a pocket knife, and possibly some of his favorite gum.
If you find yourself in the area hunting or backcountry exploring, keep an eye out for any clothing or physical items that match Jeremy's description. And if you have any information about Jeremy's disappearance, please contact the Tillamook County Sheriff's Office.
This is a truly tragic case, and our hearts go out to Jeremy's family and loved ones. We hope that by sharing this story, we can help bring some answers and closure to this mystery.
I can't help but wonder if there's more to Jeremy's disappearance than meets the eye. Could he have had an encounter with a Sasquatch? It's certainly possible, and it's something that the Pacific Northwest Bigfoot Search team will be looking into.
In the meantime, let's keep Jeremy's family in our thoughts and prayers, and let's do our part to help find answers to this puzzling case. If you have any information, please contact the Tillamook County Sheriff's Office. And if you're in the area, keep an eye out for any clues that might help solve this mystery. Together, we can help bring justice for Jeremy and closure for his loved ones.
