Ohio River Hospital Exploration Reveals Encounter with Mysterious Creature

A chilling account of a possible encounter with a Dogman has surfaced on the YouTube channel Horror Den of Misfits. The video, titled "23 TRUE EXTREMELY INSANE SCARY DOGMAN & CRYPTID HORROR STORIES (DOGMAN, SASQUATCH, WENDIGO, RAKE)," features a firsthand account of an individual who claims to have come face-to-face with the creature while exploring an abandoned hospital in Southern Ohio. In the video, the witness describes the moment they realized something was off as soon as they arrived at the hospital. Despite the building being a popular spot for local teenagers to explore, the witness and their friends were the only ones there that night. As they explored the hospital, the witness went to take pictures in the morgue, where they encountered a foul smell of rot. It was at this point that the witness heard a slam of a steel door and what sounded like running through puddles of water. Believing it to be a prank by their friends, the witness decided to scare them back. However, as they hid on top of the coolers in the morgue, they heard screaming, followed by hard footsteps and pounding. The witness then smelled a wet dog smell, combined with the same smell of rot from before. As they tried to quietly slip away, they heard the morgue door slam open and break the tiles on the wall. It was then that they saw the arm of a creature sticking through the opening it had made. The witness described the creature as a gray and brown mass of fur, with a very narrow snout and ears pointing up like a dog's. They estimated the creature to be 8 feet tall and 3 feet wide, and it was able to make its way through the hospital and chase the witness out onto the street. The witness was left with claw marks on their leg and injuries to their hand, which they received while breaking a window to escape. They were taken to the hospital and received treatment for their injuries, but the encounter has haunted them for the past 11 years. While the encounter is certainly terrifying, it is important to note that the video is a firsthand account and has not been independently verified.
