Iowa Goatman Encounter: Witnesses Recall Chilling Paranormal Experiences

A new video has recently surfaced on YouTube that caught my attention and I thought it would be of interest to our fellow Bigfoot enthusiasts on Squatchable. The video, posted by the channel Old Hillbilly Horror, features a compilation of 14 true terrifying cryptid and folklore horror stories, including encounters with the Dogman, Sasquatch, Wendigo, and Deep Woods creatures, among others. One of the stories in the video is about a witness who had a chilling encounter with what he described as a Goatman or the Devil Himself while walking home near Norway, Iowa in December 2005. The witness was on his way home from work, walking along the train tracks that ran past an old settler cemetery, which was alleged to be haunted. As he walked near the cemetery, he started hearing muffled footsteps behind him. He didn't think much of it at first, assuming it was one of the other guys who walked home that way. However, the footsteps got louder and louder until he became nervous and turned around to look. According to the witness, he saw a creature that resembled a man with goat hooves and horns, similar to the mythical Pan. The creature was heading straight for him, and the snow around it was melting instantly as it walked through. The witness ran screaming like a banshee, hearing the clapping of the beast's footsteps behind him, speeding up to catch him. He finally got past the graveyard and saw the creature stop right at the edge of the cemetery. He continued running, stopped to look back, and the Beast just vanished. The witness later found out that there was a tale about a Goatman many years ago, supposedly a Polish immigrant who disappeared one night and returned as the creature several years later. There had been UFO and strange being reports around the same time the man had vanished. Another story in the video is about a witness who had an extraterrestrial encounter in a post-concert crowd with hundreds of people around. The witness and two of his friends decided to stay overnight on a military installation. They walked around the inside using their flashlights, but suddenly one of the witness's friends needed to go outside. The witness saw a shadow move at the end of one hallway and turned his light to see his friend hunkered down beside a trash can. His friend said he needed to go outside because he ate some food that didn't agree with him. He took off his pants and wiped himself with some paper towels, but when he realized he had no clothes on, he took off running towards the exit. The witness followed his friend, feeling like somebody or something was following him with heavy footfalls wearing combat boots. He began screaming, and his two friends caught up with him when he finally stopped running. They didn't know where anything was, so they went back into their rooms and fell asleep. The next day, they were told that nobody else had gotten any sleep because of them making too much noise. These are just two of the 14 stories featured in the video, and they are definitely worth checking out. The video is a great reminder that there are still many unexplained phenomena out there, and it's always exciting to hear about other people's experiences.
