A park ranger at Grand Teton National Park had an encounter with a mysterious creature that he couldn't identify. In the summer of 2018, while working at a campground on Blacktail Butte, he heard a strange howl coming from the base of the mountain. The sound was unlike anything he had heard before, and he couldn't find any information about it online. He asked his co-workers if they had heard the sound, but they seemed nervous and refused to talk about it. As he was leaving, he saw a person walking in the area of the howls, staying in the tree line and moving steadily up the mountain. He got closer and asked his co-worker if he had seen anyone in the area, but the co-worker told him he had been walking around and patrolling the area and hadn't seen anyone. The park ranger informed him of the sounds he had heard, and the co-worker got nervous and whispered in his ear that he had seen a tall dark figure moving around on the back section of the park. He said he didn't get a good look at it and felt an immediate sense of danger and fear. The park ranger drove a little further, trying to see what it was that his co-worker had seen. He saw something approximately 7 ft tall and with the same dark color. He tried to get a better look at it, but it had already moved into the tree line. He went back later to look for tracks, but he didn't find any, which he found very strange. This encounter is one of many mysterious and unexplained stories shared on the YouTube channel Nightmare Hours. The channel features 12 true creepy park ranger horror stories involving cryptids such as Dogman, Sasquatch, Wendigo, Skinwalker and more. The stories are sure to leave you wondering and questioning the unknown.
