A fascinating account of a possible Bigfoot encounter has been shared on the YouTube channel, Bigfoot Society. In this episode, the channel's host welcomes back Tim, a witness from Washington state, to discuss his experiences near Lake Kushman. Tim, an experienced outdoorsman, shares his first memorable encounter, which took place on and around September 11, 2001. While backpacking in the Foss River Valley, he and his friend Jay noticed a putrid, rotting garbage smell that would suddenly appear and disappear. As they continued their journey, they heard a rock thrown from a densely brushed area across the pool from them. No response came when they called out, leaving them feeling uneasy. The following day, the pair explored Necklace Valley and its multicolored lakes, completely unaware of the 9/11 attacks happening in the outside world. It wasn't until they encountered another hiker on their way out that they learned of the tragic events. Though Tim had previously dismissed the idea of Bigfoot, this experience left him questioning the existence of something mysterious in the woods. He recalls an eerie owl call that sounded like an 800-pound man imitating an owl, coming from ground level in the dark trees at night. Though Tim didn't notice any unusual signs during this encounter, such as large amounts of branches or broken limbs, he later became more aware of his surroundings while hiking and camping. In July 2016, he and his girlfriend drove a dirt road along the border of Olympic National Park, where they witnessed a tree seemingly pushed over by an immense force. Tim's account is a compelling reminder of the importance of staying open-minded about the unknown.
