At our first annual Halloween event celebrating legendary creatures we had a wonderful crowd join us to hear tales from the Chesapeake Mermaid, Bob Chance, and Matt Lake. We learned about ways we can all protect the Chesapeake Bay from one of its ancient inhabitants, heard about the research of unexplained local creature sightings, and listened to spooky stories by the campfire while enjoying hot cider and s'mores. We also presented prizes to our best costume recipients, there we so many fun wildlife and creature costumes to choose from! In between our speakers, guests got to look through an array of captive creatures and artifacts but even more exciting, there were appearances from sasquatch, moth woman, and a prehistoric Chessie pond creature.
